SYSTEM 2000

Aircraft operators and interior designers are demanding a new level of aesthetic quality and functionality in the cabin for new interiors as well as for upgrades. To help them reach that goal we have combined the most comprehensive collection of aesthetic options and safety features in aircraft interior lighting with high reliability and easy, flexible installation to create the ALCOPSystem 2000.

System 2000 Benefits

Multi-step or infinitely variable uniform and linear dimming using any combination of lamp lengths throughout the entire operating voltage range

Accepts control input from multi-position/membrane switches or potentiometers

Standard and custom lamp lengths and shapes available in Cool and Warm White colors. High Color Rendering Index (CRI) options are also available

Compact lightweight packages require no ground planes or heatsink- system components can be easily mounted on any surface

Positive Lock Lamp Connectors with pig-tail leads and Easy Lock Lamp Holders provided secure reliable connections and ease of installation and removal

Low Voltage-Instant Start technology (LVIS) uses low starting and operating voltages and provides uniform and consistent light output and color

Reliable Solid State Design with built-in ALCOPcircuit protection-Comprehensive Five Year Warranty on system components

AL-2000 Protected Power Supply
The AL-2000 Protected Power Supply (PPS)

converts the aircraft power into the AC power necessary to light the Series 12 Fluorescent Lamps. Each AL-2000 will power up to 52 inches of lamp and can be controlled by an ALC Dimming Interface Module to provide multi-step or infinitely variable uniform and linear dimming. The AL-2000 is equipped with the ALC Circuit Output Protection (ALCop) circuitry. The circuit monitors the lighting system and will immediately shut down the PPS in case of an open or short circuit, broken output wires, improperly installed or faulty lamps or arcing. The AL-2000 has isolated fault shut down capability, allowing the rest of the lighting system to operate without hazard or loss of dimming control.
Series 12 Fluorescent Lamps
Series 12 Fluorescent Lamps

are available with a variety of aesthetic options. Standard color temperatures are Warm White and Cool White so you can match the light output to the color scheme of the interior. Our Tri-band lamps have a Color rendering Index of 85, delivering a brighter appearance, greater object clarity and color matching close to that of natural daylight. The Series 12 lamps use the ALC Positive Lock Lamp Connector to provide a one-step mechanical locking connection that provides maximum electrical isolation and protection. The pigtail lead on the lamp and the Easy-Lock Lamp Holder make installation and removal fast and simple and allows lamp overlapping to reduce shadows.
L-2010 DIMMING INTERFACE MODULE
The AL-2010 Dimming Interface Module (DIM)

is capable of providing multi-step or infinitely variable uniform and linear dimming control to a maximum of 40 AL-2000 Protected Power Supplies. The dimming Interface Module can be controlled by any device that provides a discrete resistance value, from a potentiometer to the most sophisticated membrane switch. The dimming is accomplished using pulse width modulation and varying the on-off times to produce infinitely variable light levels from full brightness to 30% of full brightness. The pulse frequency has been set to keep the lamp filaments warm, reducing the lamp life impact normally associated with fluorescent dimming.
AL-2022
The AL-2022 Dimming Interface Module (DIM)

is capable of providing infinitely variable, uniform and linear dimming control to a maximum of 40 AL-2000 Protected Power Supplies. Tight control of the light output level is maintained even when the AL-2000 Protected Power Supplies are powering a mixture of lamp lengths, and throughout the entire operating range of 23-32 volts. The Dimming Interface Modules can be controlled by any device that provides a low line control, from a momentary switch to the most sophisticated membrane switch controller. The dimming is accomplished using pulse width modulation and varying the on-off times to produce infinitely variable light levels from full brightness to 30% of full brightness. The pulse frequency has been set to keep the lamp filaments warm, reducing the negative lamp life impact normally associated with fluorescent dimming. The AL-2022 is calibrated to provide full range dimming and maximum lamp for AL-12 Series lamps.
